DescriptionSHIFT: Days (rotating weekends)
Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Provides daily supervision to EVS employees. Assists in training of new staff and ensures that quality standards for the department are met. Reports deficiencies or other needs to the Director. Performs other duties as assigned. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: None
B. Education: High School Diploma or GED
C. Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role highly preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
D. Special Qualifications: Knowledge of housekeeping techniques. Must have good verbal communication skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Must be familiar with basic operations of housekeeping equipment. Must be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must possess strong planning, organization, managing, time management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives. Must demonstrate personal and professional integrity. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems in a positive manner.
Degree of supervision required: Involves general guidance and direction by the Director of Environmental Services. Employee will be expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
